Winter doesn’t just take place on the slopes but everywhere else too. In Sölden there is an extensive range on offer in the valley and on the mountains where anyone who wants to escape skiing can enjoy the winter just as much.

The new highlight for toboggan fans:
the illuminated toboggan run from the middle station of the Gaislachkoglbahn to Sölden. At 7.3 km, it is one of the longest toboggan runs in Austria and, thanks to its easy route, is also ideal for families or beginners. In addition, the Sölden-Gaislachkogel toboggan run invites you to go night tobogganing every Wednesday between the end of December and the end of March (further information at reception).
Anyone who thinks that hiking is an activity that can only be done in summer is wrong. Stroll through the snow-covered meadows and white forests and experience the magic of winter from a new perspective.
Follow your own trail in the snow, be free and climb the mountain – ski touring is the new sports hit. Simply turn the world of skiing upside down and go up the mountain with your skis instead of just down it. You have really earned some refreshment in the mountain hut afterwards and the view is breathtaking, even on the way up.
Often seen but never tried? You should change that quickly. Cross-country skiing is one of the most popular winter sports for good reason. All ages can enjoy the snow equally and have fun together. It takes some practice at the start but you'll soon get the hang of it.
Glide over the ice, skate some races, just relax a bit – are you in the mood for ice skating? Grab your skates or hire them and off you go. Family-friendly and suitable for all ages, that’s what makes skating something very special.
